HOUSTON – It’s been nearly seven years since three people were shot and killed inside a northwest Harris County home, and the man responsible has finally been sentenced.

41-year-old Jeffrey Noble pleaded guilty to killing John Sciandra, 67, his 22-year-old daughter Jessica Sciandra, and her boyfriend, 21-year-old Jordan Collier.

In exchange for pleading guilty, he received three sentences of 60 years in prison that will run concurrently.

Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg said prosecutors worked hard to make sure Noble would spend the rest of his life in prison.

“Three families are suffering unthinkable heartbreak because of the actions of one man with a gun who made the decision that he wanted to start shooting,” Ogg said.

The victims were found at a home on Creekhaven Drive in Bear Creek Village on Dec. 8, 2017. John Sciandra lived at the home with his daughter, along with another woman.

Investigators said Noble knew the Sciandra family and went out with their roommate the day before the murders to celebrate his birthday.

The woman said Noble—who is schizophrenic—started talking about hearing voices, and she cut the celebration short.

The next day, Noble arrived at the house and showed the woman a gun. He began shooting, striking Collier in the head. The roommate ran to a neighbor’s home for help and heard more shots fired.

By the time the Harris County Sheriff’s Office had arrived, Noble was gone.

A manhunt ensued, and Noble was arrested two days later in Dallas

Assistant District Attorney Rebecca Marshall prosecuted Noble and made no excuses for his actions.

“He had a plan. He entered that home with a .50-caliber assault rifle and massacred one after another after another and then tried to escape any accountability by fleeing,” Marshall said. “There are mental health issues in this case, but that doesn’t give someone a pass to brutally murder three people.”

The plea agreement stipulates Noble has no right to appeal the three murder convictions or the three concurrent 60-year sentences.
