As of Monday morning, May 27, at 10:45 a.m., there were 563 remaining customers without power, according to the Outage Tracker provided by CenterPoint Energy.

CenterPoint said these outages are primarily isolated incidents in specific areas where substantial damage occurred, or where customer-owned equipment, such as weatherheads, are damaged. Some outages are also due to unrelated service issues, such as car accidents causing downed poles and wires.

Restoration progress

Earlier estimates from CenterPoint Energy projected nearly all customers would have their power restored by Wednesday evening, May 22, reaching up to 97% restoration according to their latest figures.
