Uvalde CISD Chief of Police Joshua Gutierrez has officially submitted his letter of resignation, KSAT has learned.
Gutierrez was named Uvalde CISD police chief back in March of 2023. He also served as interim police chief starting in November of 2022, after then-police chief Pete Arredondo was fired amidst public pressure stemming from his response to the massacre at Robb Elementary in May of 2022.
