Kedria Grigsby, 42, was arrested earlier this month and accused of recruiting students -- believed to be teenage runaways -- and forcing them into prostitution. She waived her first court appearance but stood before a judge Monday morning.

Grigsby’s attorney Samuel Milledge II spoke with KPRC 2 saying his client is facing six counts of various human trafficking cases, each at $75,000, totaling $450,000 for bond.

If she can make bond, Grigsby will be under standard strict guidelines including “no alcohol or drugs” and be ordered to stay away from any locations where children may gather.

“I understand the severity of the allegations, but as I always tell all my clients allegations are just that - they’re just statements that aren’t corroborated, so we’re looking forward to seeing what the evidence holds,” Millege II said.
