Officers investigating after man shot to death in front of NE Houston home

HOUSTON – Police are investigating after a man was shot to death in front of his home in northeast Houston.

It happened in the 7900 block of Sunbury Street.

Officers were dispatched to the scene and found a man who had been shot at least once at the location. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Lt. Larry Crowson with HPD said the preliminary information is that the man was in front of his home when he had some kind of interaction with two other men. The shooting occurred during that interaction.

The suspects than fled heading east from the location. Crowson said they may have been picked up by a vehicle.

Other details are limited at this time and officers continue to investigate.
