Monkeypox vaccine: Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee advocates for bigger supply as cases increase

HOUSTON – Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee was joined by members of Congress Friday to advocate for a dramatic increase in the supply of monkeypox vaccine in the United States.

On Thursday, President Joe Biden declared monkeypox a national health emergency. The declaration follows the World Health Organization’s announcement that the virus was a global health emergency.
