HCSO: Man fatally shot in east Harris County

HOUSTON – A man was fatally shot in Harris County Friday, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

On Friday, June 18, 2021 at approximately 6:58 pm, Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to an in-progress call with shots fired in the 14400 block of Longview in east Harris County.

On arrival, deputies located a victim, a 21-year-old Hispanic male, unresponsive from apparent gunshot wounds. Neighbors were administering CPR on the individual. Deputies took over CPR until EMS arrived on the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.

Deputies spoke to several witnesses who reported seeing a dark colored Hummer fleeing the scene east on Longview immediately after the shooting. Deputies were not able to obtain any suspect description information.

Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide and Crime Scene investigators responded to the scene to conduct the investigation. An investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
