The storms are beginning to clear out across much of the Greater Houston area, but thousands remain without power as crews work to restore service.

While the heaviest rain has moved on, a Flood Watch remains in effect for parts of Southeast Texas, with lingering showers still posing a risk for areas hit hard earlier in the day.

According to the CenterPoint outage map, 3,900 people were without power as of 1:30 p.m. Thursday.
