The group started marching around 7:30 p.m. and at one point, separated into two groups with one staying by the capitol and another continue to walk in the streets, KXAN said.
KXAN also reports that tear gas and pepper spray was used against some of the protestors in the streets and their crew witnessed at least two arrests near the capitol grounds.
Another large protest was also reported in Dallas. A large group of protestors were spotted on the Margaret Hunt Hill bridge.
The protests come as other protests against federal immigration agents’ actions continue in Los Angeles.
Federal agents arrested immigrants in LA’s fashion district, in a Home Depot parking lot and at several other locations last Friday. The next day, they were staging at a Department of Homeland Security office near another Home Depot in Paramount, which drew out protesters who suspected another raid.
Tensions in Los Angeles escalated Sunday as thousands of protesters took to the streets after President Donald Trump deployed the National Guard, blocking off a major freeway and setting self-driving cars on fire as law enforcement used tear gas, rubber bullets and flash bangs to control the crowd.
