HUMBLE, Texas – The field of contestants in this year's Shell Houston Open just got more competitive.
A trio of players in the top 10 of the World Golf Rankings have entered the tournament, set to go from March 30 to April 5 at the Golf Club of Houston in Humble.
Henrik Stenson, ranked No. 3, will be playing in his fourth consecutive Shell Houston Open. he has four PGA tour victories and 12 international titles.
Jordan Spieth, ranked No. 6, has won three tournaments in the last four months. This is his third straight SHO appearance.
Justin Rose, ranked No. 10, becomes the 12th major championship winner to join this year's field. He won the U.S. Open in 2013.
The trio joins Sergio Garcia, Ernie Els, and other of the world's top golfers for this year's tournament.
