A chilly Houston night turned into a wildlife drama when a family of raccoons tried to rescue one of their own from a backyard swimming pool.
In a heartwarming, captured video, the scene unfolded as one raccoon accidentally tumbled into the pool. Despite their best efforts, the raccoon’s furry family couldn’t quite manage the rescue.

Enter the homeowner, who heard the commotion and stepped in to assist. With a quick save, the raccoon was pulled out, safe and sound, and the family scampered off together into the night.
