HOUSTON – Love a good historical home? We certainly do, so when we heard about a $2 million home in Boulevard Oaks with ties to Houston architectural history, we had to take a look.

On the market for $2,000,000, 1702 Milford Street in Boulevard Oaks was built in 1928 by San Jacinto Monument architect, Alfred Finn, according to realtor Adriana Banks. Finn designed many of Houston’s homes, hotels, theaters, apartments, public buildings and more. Some of the most notable works he had a hand in designing include the San Jacinto monument, the Sam Houston Music Hall and Coliseum and the City National Bank Building. A home Finn built for the family of prominent oil mogul, Walter W. Fondren, now houses La Colombe d’Or Hotel and Restaurant.
