Buckle up! Here’s what you need to know about the Houston Hot Wheels Legends Tour from Hot Wheels icon Bryan Benedict

Houston – It was a fast and furious Friday on Houston Life.

Mel Camp was live outside with one of Hot Wheels’ most legendary cars, the ‘Bone Shaker.’ It turned heads in the KPRC 2 parking lot before it heads out to cypress tomorrow for the 2025 Hot Wheels Legends Tour in Cypress.

Joining Camp was was Bryan Benedict, key principal designer at Hot Wheels and the creative force behind some of the brand’s most popular cars. Benedict shared how his childhood dream of designing cars once dismissed as “not a real job” turned into a career that’s influenced both the toy and automotive industries. Before joining Hot Wheels, Benedict spent a decade working with major car companies like Honda and Mercedes-Benz.

The Hot Wheels Legends Tour is the world’s largest traveling car show, stopping in 16 countries and showcasing hundreds of unique builds. This weekend’s event at the Cypress Walmart will feature life-size Garage of Legends cars, interactive kids’ zones, exclusive merchandise, and a custom car competition. One winner from each stop advances for a chance to have their car immortalized as the next Hot Wheels die-cast.

Tomorrow’s event is free and family-friendly, running from 8 a.m. to noon. For car lovers of all ages, it’s a great way to tap into your inner childhood or a chance for the kiddos to see their favorite cars come to life.
