Houston – With RODEOHOUSTON being in our backyard, we’re no stranger to fair food.
But have you ever heard of an elephant ear? The sweet treat is popular around the country but not so much in Texas. The light, crispy on the outside but soft on the inside treat is similar to a funnel cake or a sopapilla, but it’s fried and then customized (typically with cinnamon and sugar)
Be a Tim Elephant Ears joined us in the studio to teach us why they decided to bring the treat they grew up making in Oregon to Texas. Now, their recipe is a secret (shhh!), but they shared a simple one you can get started at home with ingredients you probably already have.
