Dressing or stuffing? Either way, your guests will love this recipe with a Cajun cornbread twist
Houston – Whether you call it dressing or stuffing...it’s still getting eaten! Chef Natosha ‘Chef Tae’ Barber joined us on Houston Life to share her Cajun cornbread dressing that is as easy as it is delicious. It’s also, totally customizable!
We know this dish is sure to “wow” your guests this holiday season so Chef Tae was kind enough to share the recipe!
Cornbread Dressing Premade day-old cornbread
½ C. shredded chicken or turkey
3 C. of chicken stock
2 bunches of chopped green onions.
Salt, pepper, and sage to taste
Directions: Preheat oven to 350°.
In a medium sauce pan, cook down Savoie’s dressing mix until the liquid is reduced.
Add mixture to crumbled cornbread in a mixing bowl.
Add green onions and chicken stock to bowl with seasonings.
Spread mixture in a lightly greased pan and bake covered for 30 minutes. Uncover and cook for an additional 15 mins.
Serve with gravy.
