He heads to the Mahatma Ghandi District to visit one of Houston’s oldest Indian restaurants, Raja Sweets. Chris learns the story of how Raja Sweet’s founder Yogi Gahunia helped establish the area as a community for the city’s growing Indian population by providing authentic North Indian meals and sweets that are still available at the restaurant today.
London Sizzler

Then, Chris heads to London Sizzler, a family-owned British-Indian style pub serving up bar snacks, tandoori dishes and sizzler platters alongside cold beer and cocktails. He sits down with the Patel family to find out how they have put their own spin on Indian food from dinner to snacks.
After a meal that includes some fan favorites like gobi manchurian, jeera wings and peshwari naan, Chris heads next door to the Patel’s snack shop, Masala Munchies. Here, customers can have their pick of grab and go Indian snacks like chevdo, puri and samosas that are perfect for snacking at home or on the road.
