Sarah Grueneberg’s culinary journey began in her childhood, cooking with her grandparents on their Texas ranch. After graduating from culinary school in 2001, she made her mark at Brennan’s of Houston before moving to Chicago to join the team at Spiaggia. Grueneberg’s talents have earned her numerous awards, including a James Beard Foundation Award in 2017 for “Best Chef: Great Lakes.” She’s also been a contestant on cooking shows like “Top Chef: Texas” and “Iron Chef Gauntlet.” In 2015, she co-founded Monteverde Restaurant & Pastificio in Chicago’s West Loop, solidifying her status as a culinary powerhouse.
