Whataburger adds Breakfast Bowl, White Chocolate Raspberry Shake to its menu

Whataburger has announced two new items to its menu sure to keep you warm and get you in the holiday spirit. They include the Whataburger Breakfast Bowl and the Whataburger White Chocolate Raspberry Shake. The Whataburger Breakfast Bowl is a fresh-baked biscuit, creamy Whataburger gravy, scrambled eggs, two crispy hashbrowns and Fancy Shredded Cheddar Jack cheese with your choice of sausage or bacon, the eatery said in a press release. Whataburger White Chocolate Raspberry Shake has also been added to the menu. It’s made using a vanilla shake base and a delightful combination of white chocolate and raspberry flavors.

Police: Man arrested after kicking teen girl in face

Police have released a 20-year-old Brownsville man who posed bond following his arrest on an assault charge in connection to a fight outside a Whataburger in Brownsville. The video shows the 16-year-old girl being kicked in the head by one of the men during the fight. “He (Padilla) just started picking a fight with him for no reason at all, is what she (the victim) said,” the investigator said. The video shows a man kicking the teenage girl and she is knocked out. Padilla was charged with one count of assault and his bond was set at $2,000.

Woman knocked out cold at Whataburger; Police investigating viral fight

A weekend brawl caught on video in the parking lot of a Whataburger in Brownsville has caught the attention of police. The video, posted and now viral on social media, shows two couples fighting, initially a pair of women fighting on the ground and a pair of men trading blows. A car obscures the view of what happens to the woman next, but when the view clears that woman is shown knocked out on the pavement. “Through social media, we were made aware of the assault that occurred,” police said. Prior to the woman filing a report, police were monitoring social media in efforts to identify the people in the video.

Whataburger to donate nearly $30K to RGV Food Bank

In observance of the eatery’s 71st anniversary, Whataburger partnered with Feeding America to help provide over 3 million meals to local food banks across 10 states, including its home state of Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico. During its first ever system-wide fundraiser, customers who donated $1 were given a Whataburger coupon, from which those donations were given to Feeding America and its member food banks in local communities. This is in support of the company’s signature program, Whataburger Feeding Student Success, which focuses on helping students at all levels of education by combating food insecurity. “Feeding America is doing such amazing work through their network of food banks. All of us at Whataburger are looking forward to joining our customers in showing support for them during Orange Spirit Week,” Whataburger CEO Ed Nelson said in the release.

Jacket Fight Never Dies: Rockwall Lady Yellowjackets punch their ticket to the UIL State Championships

In an interview with VYPE DFW during the 2021 baseball/softball photoshoot presented by Whataburger, Rockwall junior outfielder Carter Smith mentioned that one of the goals this season was to "go deep in playoffs." It's safe to say that that goal is definitely a reality after the Lady Yellowjackets swept Bryan in the UIL Class 6A Region II Regional Finals. Rockwall softball is on their way to the state championship game!
