District officials say the students were taken to the hospital as a precaution after two school buses crashed into each other.

Letters sent to parents, obtained by KPRC 2, reveal at least three students were hit by cars on three separate occasions within the same week.

Houston police say students were onboard the bus, but it was unclear during the initial investigation if anyone was injured.

“Finally," Tammy Chavis said. "Someone said we will have someone to give you a call back and they actually did and after that next thing I knew they were saying we had a buzz and a route and they will pick them up on Monday morning.”
