Texas voters head to the polls Tuesday in several closely watched runoff elections, including a high-profile Democratic congressional matchup in Houston and the Republican U.S. Senate runoff drawing national attention.

Joe Panzarella, a progressive community organizer, is projected to win the Houston City Council District C runoff, securing 64.7% of the votes against Nick Hellyar.

Houston City Council District C voters will choose between Joe Panzarella and Nick Hellyar in a runoff election on Saturday, May 16, to fill the seat vacated by Abbie Kamin until January 2028.
