SPRING – A road rage incident came to a crashing end Tuesday night when a driver slammed into a house in Spring, the constable’s office said. Harris County Precinct 4 Constables responded to reports of a road rage incident in the 23200 block of Drywood Crossing around 7 p.m. The constable’s office said two vehicles were racing when one of the drivers lost control and crashed into a residence. The constable’s office said four people were arrested in connection with the crash. AdJustin Bryant was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and a felon in possession of a weapon.
HPD: Woman shot, killed in suspected road rage incident in northwest Houston
HOUSTON – A woman was killed early Saturday in a suspected road rage shooting in northwest Houston, police said. Around 4:52 a.m., Houston police officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 8500 block of Rannie Road. Investigators said that the victim was involved in a physical altercation with the suspect in the 8600 block of Rayson Road shortly before the shooting. After the fight on Rayson Road, both drivers got back into their vehicles and drove off, only to encounter each other again two blocks away on Rannie Road. The shooting follows another suspected road rage incident that occurred in west Harris County Friday.
1 wounded, 1 charged as road rage shootings continue to rise in Houston
HOUSTON – Houston police say road rage incidents are on the rise. Road rage was to blame again on Monday when a Katy man was shot and wounded by an irate drive near Katy. Sammon said the freeway ramp narrows from three lanes to two lanes to one, and that’s where the trouble started. Even wounded, Sammon said it wasn’t hard for him to identify the vehicle to police, as the owner’s business name and phone number were on the back window. He is charged with a 2nd-degree felony, which means he could face up to 20 years in prison if he’s convicted.

Houston police chief defends against crime, manpower restraints

According to Acevedo, Houston has seen a marked increase this year in terms of road rage incidents and aggravated assaults resulting from road rage in 2020. “Anyone who thinks that they can just go out there and engage in road rage and commit aggravated assaults and thinks they are going to get away with it would be wrong.”Acevedo said Gov. Greg Abbott approved the initiative and directed DPS troopers to support HPD in their efforts to combat road rage.

Officers said the shooting happened at 10:20 p.m. in the 700 block of North Loop West. When officers arrived at the scene, investigators said they found a 21-year-old man who had been shot. According to investigators, the shooting stemmed from a road rage incident. Police said it is unknown if any of the two to three suspects were struck during the gunfire exchange.

1 hospitalized after road-rage shooting on highway near Midtown
HOUSTON – One person has been hospitalized after a road-rage shooting on a highway near Midtown. The incident happened around 9:30 a.m. at the Highway 59 exit ramp to Highway 288 South, police said. Officers with the Houston Police Department told KPRC 2 reporter Bill Barajas that the shooting happened during a road-rage incident and one person was hit in the face. Police said the suspected shooter and one other person were taken into custody. The truck the suspected shooter was driving remains at the scene and the tailgate is branded with JJ AC and Heating.
Ex-boyfriend arrested in fatal shooting of woman in Cypress; charges upgraded to murder
CYPRESS, Texas – The man accused of shooting and killing his ex-girlfriend in Cypress has been taken into custody without incident on Wednesday, Harris County Sheriff’s Office Ed Gonzales announced. The charges against Mann Austin Hayes have been upgraded to murder, according to Gonzales. Authorities said the victim, 20-year-old Julie Dela Garza, died on Monday. Pregnant woman accused in road rage shooting to appear in court Tuesday
HOUSTON – A pregnant woman accused in a Friday road rage shooting is set to appear in court Tuesday after previously appearing in court over the weekend. The alleged road rage incident began at 12:45 p.m. Friday near JFK and Beltway 8 and ended in the 500 block of Rankin Road. Deputies said they began sideswiping each other with their vehicles and that’s when Daniels got out the Jeep, pulled a handgun and fired several times at the red sedan. The driver of the red sedan was struck in the lower back. Prosecutors said Daniels admitted she got out of her car and fired her gun at the other woman’s car at least three times.
1 injured when pregnant woman shoots at driver during road rage incident, deputies say
HOUSTON – A person was hospitalized when a pregnant woman shot at a driver during a road rage incident on North Freeway Friday, according to Harris County deputies. The alleged road rage incident began at 12:45 p.m. near JFK and Beltway 8 and ended in the 500 block of Rankin Road. Deputies said the pregnant woman in a Jeep Cherokee got into a dispute with another woman in a red-colored sedan with a 5-year-old girl inside. At some point, deputies said the pregnant driver tried to pass the woman and flipped the Jeep into a ditch. Deputies said everyone in the Jeep was “OK” and the pregnant woman was taken in custody.
