Kingwood High School is currently on lockdown after a student was reportedly on campus, possibly armed with a weapon.

A student was reportedly hit by a driver Monday morning in front of Kingwood High School, according to constables.

The Kingwood Lacrosse boy’s organization had some tough games against Klein on both the High School and youth levels.

Kingwood High School boys team dominated the Region 2 Gymnastics Championships, which were held in Bryan, Texas. Kingwood finished the optionals portion of the meet with 156.2 points, followed by Bryan Rudder High in second with 138.5 points. Round Rock High School finished third with 134.8 points.

KINGWOOD, Texas – Kingwood High School honored longtime volleyball head coach, Krista Malmstrom, with a ceremony and dedication Wednesday afternoon. During the ceremony, the school renamed its volleyball court after Malmstrom during the game between Kingwood High School and Kingwood Park High School, according to a release. The ceremony was held at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Kingwood High School Gym. Malmstrom has been with Humble Independent School District since 1981 at Creekwood Middle School before she moved on to work at Kingwood High School three years later as the Lady Mustangs assistant volleyball coach. In 1996, Malmstrom was awarded Houston Area Coach of the Year and also a two-time coach at the UIL All-Star Volleyball Game.

As of 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Katy ISD and Humble ISD had announced their intentions to restart Strength & Conditioning Camps starting Wednesday, July 29. Humble Independent School District will receive the $25,401,611.75 grant to rebuild the structure that was originally built in 1978. Kingwood High School was closed for seven months following the hurricane with Kingwood’s 2,782 students commuting 30 minutes away to Summer Creek during that time.
