Dimitrios Pagourtzis, who was 17 at the time of the mass shooting, was arrested and charged with capital murder and aggravated assault on a public servant. In April 2019, Pagourtzis was also charged with federal crimes related to the mass shooting. However, he has never gone to trial, and the criminal cases against him remain in limbo.
