Wisconsin voters will choose a new state Supreme Court justice on Tuesday in an election that will either maintain or expand the court’s liberal majority.

Investigators have concluded that the leak of a Wisconsin Supreme Court abortion order last year was likely deliberate, but they were unable to determine who was responsible.

The Democratic-backed candidate for Wisconsin Supreme Court has won, defeating President Donald Trump’s endorsed challenger.

MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin Supreme Court on Wednesday struck down Gov. Tony Evers’ statewide mask mandate, ruling that the Democrat exceeded his authority by unilaterally extending the mandate for months through multiple emergency orders. It comes after Republicans in the Legislature voted to repeal the mask mandate in February, only to see Evers quickly re-issue it. When the court struck down Evers’ “safer at home” order in May it was controlled 5-2 by conservatives. In 2016, Fabick gave $20,000 to conservative Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Rebecca Bradley.
