The election includes races for the Houston Independent School District, Aldine ISD, Cypress-Fairbanks ISD, Klein ISD, and Lamar Consolidated ISD, among others. In Houston ISD, multiple trustee seats were on the ballot as the district continues its state-appointed management transition.
Aldine ISD voters had the choice to choose new trustees and weigh in a bond proposal aimed at upgrading campuses and expand career and technical education programs.
In Cypress-Fairbanks ISD, the state’s third-largest district, several trustee seats were up for election amid discussions over campus security and growth management.
Klein ISD voters have decided on board members who will help set policy on teacher pay, academic resources, and long-term district planning.
Lamar Consolidated ISD had both trustee positions and a bond package on the ballot that would fund new schools and infrastructure to accommodate increasing enrollment.
