2 children killed in RV fire in Liberty County

The sheriff’s office has not yet released the number of fatalities.

HOUSTON – Two children have died following a fire at an RV in Liberty County Tuesday morning, authorities said.

Firefighters with the Cleveland Fire Department and deputies with the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office responded to the fire around 5:30 a.m. at an RV near County Road 3189 and Highway 59 South.

Authorities said the RV was partially collapsed when firefighters arrived. Crews were able to enter the RV and found the two children inside.

The children were pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials are still working to determine what caused the fire and are gathering additional information about the circumstances surrounding the children’s deaths.
