While in route, additional information indicated that the welfare concern may have involved a physical disturbance and stabbing.

As deputies arrived, they found Aalaha Harden, 28, who had been involved in a fight. As deputies tried to secure the scene, Harden reportedly resisted their commands and efforts.

Inside the residence, that’s where deputies found 30-year-old Sarah Garcia suffering from multiple stab wounds.

Garcia was airlifted to HCA Hospital in Clear Lake, where she was later pronounced deceased.

Based on evidence gathered at the scene, Harden was arrested and charged with murder and resisting arrest.

She is currently in custody at the Brazoria County Detention Center with bonds totaling $1,003,000.
