Body found during search for missing person near Cypress Creek

Authorities responded to a scene in northwest Harris County after a body was recovered during a search for a missing person.

The body was discovered near the 9600 block of Cypresswood Drive, near Cypress Creek.

Harris County Pct. 4 Constable Mark Herman reported that the body was discovered during an EquuSearch investigation regarding a missing person.

KPRC 2 was first alerted to the situation by a tip from a driver who reported seeing law enforcement vehicles and digging near the creek.

Authorities have not confirmed the man’s identity, but they believe it could be the French man who was the subject of the search.

The missing French man was 60 years old. He was visiting a friend in Houston, and the friend said he hadn’t seen him since Nov. 11. The man was reportedly last seen near the 14500 block of Cutten Road.
