HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – An investigation is underway after law enforcement say a body was found in a retention pond in the Humble area Monday.

The Harris County Pct. 4 Constable’s Office says they are assisting the Humble Police Department in the investigation.

Authorities say the body was discovered in the 20600 block of Kenswick Drive. A KPRC 2 crew at the scene confirms the body was found in a pond inside Jesse H. Jones Park and Nature Center.

Law enforcement at the scene are still investigating, but tell KPRC 2 the body appears to be that of a white male, possibly in his late 20s or early 30s.

Right now, details are limited, but authorities are asking people to avoid the area as an active investigation is underway.
