How did Lainey Wilson end up in this Texas-sized corn maze just outside Katy?!

Turns out, Houston’s favorite fall festival has gone a little country this year. Just outside Katy, an 8-acre corn maze has been carved in honor of Lainey Wilson - and it’s only one of the reasons families keep coming back to this fall tradition.

A fall festival years in the making

Since 2001, Houstonians have flocked to Dewberry Farm for pumpkins, rides, and memories that span generations. Families recreate photos from years past, toddlers turn into teens, and traditions grow as big as the Texas sunflowers planted across the farm.

Houston Life photographer Brian Holson can vouch for the growth. He first visited with his daughter in 2007, and when he returned this year, he almost didn’t recognize the place. With more than 40 attractions, from pony rides to slides and carnival-style fun, the festival is bigger than ever.

What’s new this year

The Barn Swing is the latest ride thrilling kids (and brave parents). Foodies will want to try the farm’s new lineup of egg rolls - stuffed with unexpected flavors and perfect for sharing. And of course, no visit is complete without a funnel cake, hot and sugary, the sweet send-off before heading home.

But the biggest buzz? The Pumpkin Stroll - a glowing pathway of jack-o-lanterns and retro Halloween décor - plus that Lainey Wilson corn maze. Visitors can even scan a QR code inside the maze to enter for a chance to meet Lainey at the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas!

Picture-perfect moments

Beyond the thrills, the farm is overflowing with photo ops. Zinnias, cosmos, and towering sunflowers create colorful backdrops, while pumpkin houses and fall displays are set up across the property. Families, couples, and even groups of friends come out to capture the season in full color.

A tradition worth keeping

Whether it’s conquering the corn maze, finding the perfect pumpkin, or biting into that last funnel cake of the night, the fall festival just outside Katy has become a cornerstone of autumn in Houston. And with Lainey Wilson now part of the story, there’s one more reason to make the trip.
