Houston – Houston is gearing up for a cultural celebration like no other. The annual Viet Cultural Fest, the largest Vietnamese festival in Texas, returns to NRG Center on Saturday, September 20, 2025.
The festival drew more than 11,000 visitors last year. The one-day event highlights the richness of Vietnamese traditions, food, and community. This year’s theme, “Gratitude to Those Who Paved the Way,” honors the resilience and contributions of Vietnamese Americans, marking 50 years since the Fall of Saigon.
Attendees can expect a full day of activities, including parades, cultural performances, cooking competitions, and the Miss Teen Viet Cultural Fest pageant. Resources for families will also be available, such as free health screenings and a marketplace featuring Vietnamese-owned businesses.
NRG Center will be the place for foodies because of the unique experiences like the Blind Boba Tasting Contest, sponsored by The Teahouse and led by Davin Huang. Derrick and Tessa tried it today on Houston Life to see if they could guess some of The Teahouse’s favorite drinks.
Festival co-chair Mai Le says the event is about more than entertainment—it’s about bringing people together to celebrate culture and heritage.
Viet Cultural Fest runs from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at NRG Center, Halls D & E. Tickets and more information are available at vietculturalfest.org. Right now, you can score $5 off your online ticket by using the code PRESALE at checkout.
