A Royal Cause: King’s Tour Brings Texas Renaissance Festival Fun to Haak Winery 👑🍷

Houston – It may be just under two months until the Texas Renaissance Festival officially kicks off, but the giving had already begun. The festival’s annual King’s Tour is all about supporting the Galveston County Food Bank, and on Friday the royal procession made stops in Galveston to collect food and cash donations for families in need.

Along the way, the King of the Texas Renaissance Festival visited some of the area’s most beloved spots to spread the word about the fight against hunger and to invite the community to join in.

The day wrapped up at Haak Winery in Santa Fe, where guests sipped award-winning wines, enjoyed live entertainment from Texas Renaissance Festival performers, and even earned tickets to the festival in exchange for donations of non-perishable food or monetary gifts.

From turkey legs to jousts, the Texas Renaissance Festival is known for its immersive, larger-than-life experience, but behind the scenes, the festival has a long tradition of giving back. The King’s Tour is just one way the festival connects with communities across the Houston area before opening day.

If you couldn’t make it to Haak Winery for the festivities, you can still help the cause. Visit GalvestonCountyFoodBank.org/the-kings-tour to make a donation and help feed families in need right here at home.

Celebrations will continue into the evening at Haak Winery including live music
