Heart & Hustle: Houston, a new docuseries following six Black women balancing family, friendships, and booming careers, premieres this Saturday at 8 p.m. on OWN.
The cast joined us in Studio B to talk about the show’s debut and what makes their stories uniquely Houston. From nightlife to wellness, beauty to public relations, these women are bringing a fresh perspective to reality TV, one rooted in ambition, resilience, and authentic sisterhood.

Elite spa owner carving out space in the wellness industry. A wife and mother devoted to breaking generational curses while juggling business growth, motherhood, and her role as the group’s nurturing motivator.

Former electrical engineer turned influencer and content creator. Mother of four redefining personal success by unlearning perfectionism and embracing vulnerability in her career, marriage, and motherhood.
Roe Pichardo - “Nightlife Queen”
Entrepreneur and single mom with deep roots in Houston’s restaurant and nightlife scene. Tough yet loving, she’s shifting from running clubs to building new ventures while learning to let her guard down.
The women say the show offers a refreshing portrayal of Black women on reality TV – focusing not just on conflict, but on community, growth, and support. “We all have similar stories,” Saulsberry shared. “We’re moms, wives, entrepreneurs… juggling everything. And there’s power in showing that journey.”
