Jessica Sanchez’s 20 year return to America’s Got Talent ends with Golden Buzzer from Sofía Vergara

The emotional moment airs tonight on KPRC 2 at 7 p.m.

Houston – It’s a full-circle moment nearly two decades in the making and Houston Life got a front row seat.

Jessica Sanchez first stepped onto the America’s Got Talent stage at just 10 years old, wowing the nation with her powerful voice with Celine Dion’s I Surrender.

Tonight on AGT, she’s older, wiser, pregnant, and more confident than ever, and brought the house down once again. The now-Houston-based singer joined Houston Life co-host Derrick Shore to talk about her journey, her emotional return to AGT, and the life she’s building beyond the spotlight. What she didn’t reveal during the interview but what NBC later confirmed was that Jessica earned the coveted Golden Buzzer from judge Sofía Vergara, launching her straight into the live shows.

Since her AGT debut in 2006, Jessica has lived through the highs and lows of the industry. She took a break to reconnect with herself, found love, got married, and is now expecting her first child, all while rediscovering the joy of singing just for her. “I’m not only coming back as a grown woman,” she shared, “I’m also coming back as a mom-to-be.” Jessica now calls Houston home, and her emotional return to AGT is already making waves online. Her performance clip, is spreading fast, with fans who remember the little girl with the big voice

“I’ve always believed in using my gift to impact others,” Jessica said. “That’s my purpose — through music, through storytelling, through resilience.”
