Talk about talent, actress Ava Torres is taking Hollywood by storm with several TV and movie roles

Houston – Local rising star Ava Torres is back on Houston Life, and she’s been busy since we last saw her in 2022.

The teen actress has racked up six movie premieres, three guest-starring TV roles, and recently landed a major part in the upcoming Apple/Skydance film Way of the Warrior Kid, starring alongside Chris Pratt, Levi McConaughey, and Linda Cardellini. Ava also holds a recurring role on NBC’s Chicago Fire, playing a troubled teen named Natalie Evans. Like Houston Life co-hosts Derrick Shore and Tessa Barrera noted, the character is very different from Ava’s real and bubbly upbeat personality. Ava’s appearance on Chicago Fire hits home since her father is a firefighter and Hazmat Tech.

Don’t be fooled by her busy schedule, Ava stays grounded, balancing school, family time, choir, and even martial arts. It was her red belt training with Kickstart Kids that helped her book the role in Way of the Warrior Kid. She performed a martial arts form during her callback in L.A., which helped her stand out. Beyond acting, Ava is a multi-talented performer. She’s sung for film soundtracks, starred in an international Crocs campaign, and still makes time to hang with her little sister and cousins. Ava credits her success to her parents, calling it a “team effort,” and encourages young actors to stay true to themselves and find balance along the way.
