Just Enough Wines: Perfect for on-the-go celebrations

For couples who love spontaneous adventures, Garrido suggests bubbles on the go. From a picnic to a plane ride, Just Enough Wines might be just what you need. These single-serving cans hold a glass and a half of wine—enough to enjoy without feeling pressured to finish a bottle.

The brand’s mission is to promote moderation, ensuring you can sip and savor without overindulging. The Brut Bubbles pairs beautifully with oysters—a perfect aphrodisiac for a romantic evening. Daniela even shared her personal experience of enjoying Brut Bubbles with oysters on a recent trip to Seattle with her fiancé. And here’s the best part: these wines are available on United Airlines flights, so you can toast while you travel! For just $20, you can grab a four-pack at Target, making it an affordable option for those seeking quality without the steep price tag.

Daou Paso Robles Rosé: It’s not just for the Summer

Talk about a versatile wine. Daniela highlighted Daou Wine’s Rosé as an ideal choice for Valentine’s Day. With its beautiful pale pink color and notes of guava, it is perfect for any meal. Whether you’re pairing it with seafood, a salad, or a cheese platter, this wine complements almost everything. And while rosé is often seen as a summer wine, Daniela emphasized that it is a fantastic option for winter as well—proving its year-round versatility.

Martini’s Gryphon Cabernet Sauvignon: A bold red for steak lovers

For those celebrating with a hearty steak dinner, Garrido recommends a bold red wine like Louis M. Martini’s Gryphon Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine symbolizes leadership, courage, and wisdom—all qualities you might want in a partner (or a wine!). With rich, complex flavors, it’s the perfect match for a Valentine’s steak dinner. Whether you’re grilling at home or dining out, this wine is a must-try. Daniela pointed out that this wine is only available at HEB Central Market on Westheimer and at these select restaurants all over the Houston area. It’s on the pricier side with bottle ranging from $80-$100. Glasses at these restaurants vary.

Garrido left us with a few tips if you’re headed out for dinner:

1. Don’t be afraid to ask for the restaurant’s sommelier

2. Give them your price point range

3. Be honest. The more honest that you are, the more they can help you because their wine list might be even larger than the one that you’re looking at on the paper. They can tell you if it is available.
