Watch Houston Life surprise an unsuspecting elementary school teacher while he was in the middle of teaching class!

HOUSTON – At Houston Life, we love teachers! This week, we teamed up with our friends at Shell Federal Credit Union to highlight some amazing educators and show them some back-to-school love as they return to school for the new year. On Friday, we celebrated Mr. Jose Razo, from North Shore Elementary, a school in Galena Park ISD. From starting the day with a song that encourages his students to share something good that is happening in their life to his special “Tortilla Claps,” Mr. Jose Razo always leads with positivity.

Mr. Razo is a 4th-grade Bilingual Teacher who is starting his seventh year as a teacher at North Shore Elementary. He has been teaching for 11 years and plans to spend the rest of his career at North Shore. Teaching was not something Mr. Razo had considered until he started working with children in the Junior Achievement Program, teaching financial literacy. Many of his students said the best thing about being in Mr. Razo’s class was learning new things.

Watch the video above to see us surprise Mr. Razo while he was teaching his class!
