We have just about one month left of summer (says the calendar, but probably not the weather) and that means there’s still time to enjoy the best summer desserts Houston has to offer. From ice cream floats to gourmet banana splits and paletas made with real fruit, here’s our summer dessert bucket list.

1. Watermelon Paleta – La Brisa Ice Cream

📍 East Downtown

What to try: Watermelon Paleta | Made with fresh-cut watermelon and cane sugar—no preservatives, no fillers—this all-natural frozen bar is basically summer on a stick. Sweet and refreshing, it’s the perfect grab-and-go treat on sweltering afternoons. Not a watermelon fan? La Brisa has dozens of options to choose from that you mix and match to create a custom box of paletas.
