Another beautiful day for Rodeo Saturday but Sunday a wind of change is on the way with a cold front. Sunday, southerly winds gust near 30 mph and temperatures sky rocket near 90.

The front will bring more than a boost in temperatures, it will also bring a chance for strong to severe thunderstorms.

The front moves through Sunday evening and night, bringing the threat of a broken line of strong storms capable of producing strong winds. The best chance for storms is Sunday evening into Sunday night.

Northeast of Harris County, there is a 2/5 on the severe risk scale, while the greater Houston remains 1/5, this means there will be isolated strong storms.

Behind the front comes the return of winter! Monday morning feels like temperatures will be in the 30s! As winds howl out of the north at over 30 mph, air temperatures are just below 40 degrees.

Monday’s high temperatures aren’t much better, only reaching the 50s.
