Tracking the Front:
We’re tracking a weakening cold front that will knock us back into seasonable temperatures next week with some chances for storms Friday evening and again Saturday morning.
Right now, we’re tracking the chance for isolated strong thunderstorms with the possibility of localized heavy rainfall. However, most areas will once again be fighting near record heat for possibly a third straight day.
When does the rain arrive to Houston?
We will see some scattered storms move in early Friday across the Brazos Valley and look to weaken once they approach most of the Houston metro by Friday afternoon.
As the front slows and stalls there is chance for another round of showers and scattered storms Friday night into Saturday morning.
Thanksgiving Weekend:
Another, stronger cold front is set to move through the area on Monday. We are very dry right now so we can use some rain, however, know that it will brings some strong thunderstorms that will impact travel across the state.
Your extended forecast:
Another chance for rain Sunday and Monday as a cold front moves through SE Texas. Temperatures will remain above average until. There is some hope that fall will return starting Tuesday, with morning lows in the 50s and highs in the 60s and 70s!
