Houston back to a rainy pattern by midweek

Temperatures reach the upper 80s, which is what we should be seeing at the end of May compared to the end of April

HOUSTON – Expect A warm morning in the 70s and afternoon well into the mid to upper 80s.

Mid-week low-pressure system will traverse across the southwestern US, bringing rain chances back into the forecast for the second half of the week.

At this point, the storm chances look to be pretty typical for early season May weather, spotty afternoon downpours. However, we may see the dry line thunderstorms get going into the overnight hours by the of the week.

There maybe a few strong to severe thunderstorms mainly north of Houston Wednesday and there is a low risk for flooding north of Harris county.

With the lack of rain in the first few days of the extended forecast, temperatures hover near 90° —a very rinse-and-repeat pattern. Don’t put those umbrellas away just yet; by Wednesday, you’ll need them again.
