End of April or end of May? Summer-like heat for Houston as we say goodbye to April this week

Temperatures reach the upper 80s, which is what we should be seeing at the end of May compared to the end of April

HOUSTON –

Tonight’s forecast:

HOUSTON – Well, tonight’s forecast is no different than last night’s forecast: we keep some of that cloud cover around that we’ve seen all day. The added cloud cover keeps our temperatures more moderated, as we only fall into the lower 70s across the board.

Monday’s Forecast:

We’ll be stuck in Deja vu for a couple of days.

We’ll continue to track warm temperatures this week thanks to a high-pressure system influencing our weather pattern. With 13 hours and 28 minutes of sunlight on Monday and mostly sunny skies, temperatures soar into the 80s. Next chance for rain is mid-week.

Mid-week system:

The big blue bully sticks around for the first half of the week, but a mid-week low-pressure system will traverse across the southwestern US, bringing rain chances back into the forecast for the second half of the week.

Houston’s 10-day forecast:

With the lack of rain in the first few days of the extended forecast, temperatures hover near 90° - a very rinse and repeat type of pattern. Don’t put those umbrellas away just yet, by Wednesday you’ll need them again.
