A low-pressure system is developing off the east coast of Florida, with the National Hurricane Center giving it a 20% chance of becoming a tropical storm within the next week. Although dry air and wind shear may inhibit its development, the disturbance could still bring increased rain to the Gulf Coast by mid-week as it moves west.
