Cold fronts in September are never a sure thing, but this one is looking more and more likely as the weekend edges closer. You should know that some computer models favor a stalling of the front along the coast by next weekend and therefore call for chances for showers.

Read full article: Holiday weekend brings clouds and upper 70sHOUSTON – Temperatures are on the rise for the rest of the holiday weekend but clouds will also dominate much of our day as well. Low 70s tomorrow with some patchy sunshine then we’re forecast to reach the mid to upper 70s during the Monday-Tuesday time period. Then come Wednesday and Thursday and the return of winter temperatures. We’ll see cloudy skies, scattered showers and a temperature drop from a high on Tuesday in the mid to upper 70s to the 60s and 50s on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The good news is that as quickly as winter dips in, it dips back out and by next weekend, the second weekend of Mardi Gras, our temperatures will back near normal with little or no rain forecast.
