Texas A&M said it has three active COVID-19 cases, including two people who traveled with the team to South Carolina last week. 24 Auburn's game at Mississippi State was postponed because of COVID-19 positive tests and contact tracing within the Bulldogs' program. In the American Athletic Conference, Navy's game at Memphis on Saturday was postponed because of positive COVID-19 tests at the Naval Academy. It’s the second week in a row that Navy had a game postponed because of positive tests at the Academy and the subsequent quarantine of student-athletes.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Southeastern Conference announced Tuesday that Saturday’s game between Texas A&M and Tennesse has been postponed due to positive COVID-19 tests. SEC officials did not disclose how many players or staff members tested positive for the virus. Texas A&M released a statement saying a player and a student worker had tested positive Sunday after returning from a trip to South Carolina. Texas A&M announced that the postponed game will be rescheduled for Dec. 12. The College Station school also said the testing rate has increased to 8.1%.

10 Florida's game against defending national champion LSU was postponed Wednesday to tentatively Dec. 12 after the SEC postponed Missouri-Vanderbilt on Monday. Vanderbilt coach Derek Mason is going through a similar situation. To play, the SEC requires at least 53 on game days. Timing is critical depending on the day of the week a positive test or tracing result returns. “Every time you’re taking a test," Mason said, “you're crossing your fingers ... you don't have anybody in harm's way."

Several teams in other leagues have had to postpone games because of outbreaks among players and staff. Ron DeSantis, alarmed by what he sees as draconian rules on college campuses, said he is drawing up a “bill of rights” for college students. The University of Wisconsin-Madison had seen more than 2,800 confirmed cases in students as of Friday. At Kansas State University, more than 2,200 students have been placed in quarantine or isolation since class began. But Mariscano said universities should expect college students to act like college students.

HOUSTON The Southeastern Conference announced its 2020 football season will begin on Sept. 26, SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey announced Thursday. The season will be comprised of a 10-game conference-only schedule with the SEC Football Championship Game played on Dec. 19 at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. (CNN) The US Securities and Exchange Commission has paid out its largest-ever whistleblower award nearly $50 million. The whistleblower tipped off the agency to a currency manipulation scheme at a massive bank, resulting in a "successful enforcement action," the SEC said Thursday. The SEC noted in its release that confidentiality agreements restrict it from naming whistleblower's name or identity. "This matter was resolved more than five years ago and we are pleased it is behind us," a BNY Mellon spokesperson told CNN Business. The SEC said Thursday's payout brings its total award to more than $500 million to 83 individuals in roughly the decade since the program was created.
