A deadly shooting is under investigation in northeast Houston after a man was found shot and killed outside his vehicle on Leycrest Road.

Investigators visited Ilana Madrid, 32, who was looking after the baby, and per court records, saw she had several dogs in her home that were "allowed to urinate and defecate on puppy pads all over the apartment."

Investigators said a man and woman went up to the house and started shooting from the house before making their way inside and shooting more. Only an 11-year-old boy was hurt during the attack.

It's unclear how the fire started, but at least one person died and another was injured.
