A good Samaritan reported seeing a 16-foot pleasure craft carrying four boaters without lifejackets on capsize at 10:30 a.m.Coast Guard officials rescued two boaters and later recovered the body of the third boater near the capsized boat, officials said. Crews are searching offshore of the mouth of the Colorado River for the fourth boater. "We will continue to aggressively search throughout the night for the missing boater," said Lt. Cmdr. "This is currently the top priority of Sector/Air Station Corpus Christi."

Officials said three of the victims were flown to Memorial Herman Hospital with serious injuries. The fourth was taken to Matagorda Regional Hospital by emergency medical services personnel to be treated for minor injuries. The driver of the Tundra, Devonte Roshawn Frank, 23, reportedly failed to adhere to posted warning signs indicating a reduced speed and that the road ended in 500 feet. Frank was arrested and taken to Matagorda County Jail.

HOUSTON – A 15-year-old boy is in serious condition at Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital after a fireworks accident on Saturday, according to his family. Rowdy Radford tied around 200 sparklers together with tape and when he went to light the self-made "sparkler bomb," it blew up right in his face. "When it blew him up it caused severe injuries and they ended up having to amputate his left leg right below the knee, he also has severe burns throughout his entire body," Samantha Hansen, Radford's aunt, said. With a name like Rowdy, they say he lives life to the fullest, always trying to make others laugh. "We know he's going to pull through, it wouldn't be Rowdy if he if he didn't," Hansen said.

But if you're heading to Sargent Island, you're going to run into a problem. According to TxDOT, at around 11 p.m. Thursday a barge hit the Sargent Swing Bridge across the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway. It is the last swing bridge in Texas, connecting the community of Sargent to Sargent Island, which has about 50 permanent residents. Floyd owns a beach house on Sargent Island. The closure is not impacting barge travel and nobody was injured when the barge hit.

It crept right under a house off of 2853 in Matagorda County that is built on stilts. Water surrounded other homes, like off of Highway 71 in Midfield. Some people who have lived in the area said they have not seen the water this high since Hurricane Carla in 1961.
