In a candid conversation with Houston Life’s Melanie Camp at the Fondé Recreation Center, Sweet Lou Dunbar, a retired Harlem Globetrotter and current coach, reflected on his nearly five-decade journey with the iconic basketball team. Larry “Gator” Rivers, who helped integrate high school basketball in Georgia before playing for the Harlem Globetrotters and becoming a county commissioner in his native Savannah, has died.
