They said more and more families need assistance and fewer families are able to donate this time of year. As millions of Americans spent the last several days shopping for the holiday season, millions of families continue to struggle. It all adds up.โIf you donate to these charities through their Facebook pages, Facebook will match $7 million in donations on Giving Tuesday. โItโs all about giving backโ: Harris County Precinct 1 Constableโs Office collects toys, cash donations for Gleem Toy Drive
HOUSTON โ Deputy constables could be seen standing in the medians on Tuesday morning collecting donations for elementary-age students who might otherwise go without this holiday season. The toy drive has been held outside of the Dr. Gleem Car Wash for 21 years. Following the drive, toys will be purchased with the donations and bagged up for delivery by members of the Precinct 1 Constableโs Office to students at 22 elementary schools. The event will be held at Dr. Gleemโs Car Wash, located at 3103 Ella Blvd until 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Click here to donate to the toy drive.
