The double fatality occurred around 10 p.m. Saturday near North Freeway at Cypresswood. Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzales said the man, 32, struck a concrete wall with his vehicle in the 19000 block of the North Freeway. Both the man and child were declared dead at the scene. The case remains under investigation by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division.

When they arrived, they found a 14-year-old girl in a car with two men in their 20s, according to authorities. Deputies said the girl told them she had been drugged and sexually assaulted. According to Sheriff Ed Gonzales, both men were arrested on unrelated charges, including possession of narcotics. One of the men was found to be a previously convicted felon in possession of a weapon, Gonzales said.
